Accreditation The South Texas Veterans Health Care System Learning Center, Provider #04-2632-B, is approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Texas Nurses Association, which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This approval meets Type I criteria for mandatory continuing education requirements toward relicensure as established by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas. This activity provides 19.5 contact hours. Six contact hours will be awarded for the Pre-Conference Workshop on teaching, by the National League for Nursing, an approved provider through the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET). This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Medical School (UTHSCSA) and The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Academic Center for Evidence-Based Practice. UTHSCSA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. UTHSCSA designates this educational activity for a maximum of 14.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(tm). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
